Christian Vieler is a full-time dog photographer who gets motivation from beautiful facial expressions of joy and urgency of a dog when they are involved with treats.
Vieler’s book “Treat” is a hilarious compilation of portraits of dogs on the moment they catch or eat a mouth-watering treat. You’ll be fascinated to know that each dog has different unique characteristics in their most expressive and exciting moments.
1) Treats Are Where The Heart Is
“After more than 500 developed snapshots I know: they bring dogs even closer to our hearts,” Vieler says on his website, according to a Google Translation of German. “In the snapshot, we experience our best friends as we rarely can in everyday life. In their faces, we recognize panic, joy, fear of loss, sheer desire and the peak of pleasure.”
2) The Human Side Of Dogs
Vieler says his photos show the human side of dogs.
“This is great Hollywood style cinema, as we otherwise only know of people. It’s a little revelation: the dog shows us human sides and maybe a dog at the same time.”
