Traveling for obese individuals is a difficult task and when it comes to fitting into one plane seat, things keep on getting harder.
One woman is going viral for her shocking demands in terms of extra plane seats as she feels this is a human right that needs to be fulfilled.
Jaelynn Chaney says she first made headlines when she was seen arguing with the flight attendants and crews for not being able to fit in her seat.
She added that it was beyond appalling for her to see this behavior take center stage because having the right amount of room while flying in the air was a basic human right and not something extra that she was requesting.
She says that people have called her all sorts of mean names but if you think that’s enough to cause her to back down, well, think again. She isn’t doing that anytime soon.
“They call me dumb, fat, selfish, and more… But they know well that I’m right and that’s all I have to say!”- she went on to mention.
The frequent traveler has gone on to speak about how not giving her ample space to seat is not only rude but sheer discrimination and it’s amazing for her that no one is yet to ask for free seats to accommodate themselves.
But the real shocker came when she spoke about how the number of free seats that she and others should get must depend on how overweight the passenger is.
Why do we have to pay more than thinner people? It does not make any sense!- she added.
Chaney who is a size 6XL adds that she is happy to be serving as a brand ambassador for plus-sized passengers and hopes the FAA takes notice of her demands too.
Why should those of us who are less hefty have to pay for your inability to put the fork down?
Why are you anonymous
Why are you?
Safety first. How does she even fit through the aircraft door never mind get out in an emergency!
You have the right to be the size you want. I have the right to have a seat on the plane without any part of your body touching me. I have the right to step across you without endangering myself if I need to go to the bathroom. I have the right to exit easily without your girth hindering my getting out safely. I have rights too!!!
I so agree!!!!
You have the right to be you’re size, the airline has the right to charge you for a evtra seat, in this case you can’t have your cake and eat it free of charge, freedom of movement is a basic human right but there are boundaries in the modes of transport you chose to make that movement unless you own that mode of transport.
Agreed! Lose weight or buy yr own airline and fly yr own chunky tail.
Self entitled to the CORE
I hope to reach 80 years in 5 months and I have maintained the same weight. (175kilos) since I was 22.
I admit it is a lot easier for males to do this than for females but expecting us travellers to subsidise your extra seat on aircraft is utterly selfish. You have chosen to be a glutton so you handle the problem yourself, don’t inflict your self inflicted obesity on other people.
