The famous actor from Dawson’s Creek, James Ver Der Beek is not shying away from claiming his family is facing a major head lice infestation.
It wouldn’t be wrong to mention that the news has taken netizens by surprise and many found it hard to accept what he was stating. After all, when did you hear about celebs and head lice, right?
The actor shared how his family of eight was not doing too well right now as they try to wrap their heads around the fact that they have head lice.
The post that he put up through his account on social media had the star mentioning how shocked many people became after realizing what was going on in his household. This post came with a very interesting caption that stated, ‘It’s all fun and games until someone has head lice”- he continued.
But the picture itself was so cute as it featured the little ones gearing up for Eid with their tiny little Easter baskets.
Many people were left scratching their own heads to determine which one of the children was battling with lice alongside his wife who also contracted the infested endeavor.
Just last month, the star put up a post where he mentioned more about celebrating his 46th birthday and reflected more on how time has altered his overall perception of this world.
’46 trips around the son and I feel that with each year, I just keep getting wiser’- the picture’s caption read. And that again featured his loving family by his side.
While we may never know how exactly this family is feeling with the condition right now, many can’t help but wonder how several people contracted the infectious situation at the same time.

Just proves that they are normal people dealing with normal issues.
Head lice affect EVERYONE. They don’t favor one head over another. They like clean heads as well as dirty ones. They don’t know if a head is attached to a celebrity or a pauper. I was a school nurse for 10 years and this malady was the biggest frustration that I encountered. In addition, our district had a “no nit” policy. That meant that a student could not return to class with nits. When they returned after treatment I spent countless time checking their hair. Parents became furious at ME when their child had lice!! There was a dad who became threatening to the point that the district police officer was called. It’s devastating for parents and embarrassing for children.
Anyone can get head lice. It isn’t a reflection of how clean you are. They can be hard to get rid of if you can’t find the source. My granddaughter kept getting them, we finally found the source to be her shared car seat.
It’s normal not a big deal just get the special treatment and use it
Our kids had it. They picked it up from school. It was a bear to
Get rid of. Washing everything. Pillows in pillowcases and put on high heat in the dryer 15 min. Everything else put in trash bags for a week or two. Ugh, a pain!
When my daughter married and had children, she heard tea tree essential oil mixed with water in a spray bottle could be sprayed on their heads each morning and combed…has kept them away.
They are now in 4th and 7th grades.
Actor’s are human just like the rest of us . They just have to treat to get rid of them. It can be very frustrating just hang in there.
Lice don’t care about your financial or social status! The LOVE clean hair!!!!! Anyone can get it! After being in the school system for 14 years I have pretty much seen it all. For those that keep oils for conditioning in their hair, they have less of a chance to get lice. I’m glad the family is keeping it real
