Actress Jane Fonda wants the world to know that no matter what people may say or think about you, it shouldn’t matter because you’ve got to live according to your own terms.
The 85-year-old starlet mentioned how she’s been the happiest person yet and is finally finding a true purpose in existence that she failed to appreciate in the past.
Fonda explained how annoying it can get when some people expect you to look or behave a certain age. And now, she’s had enough of that.
85 might be a long time for some people but for her, it’s the year that she’s been waiting for because it’s now time for her to shine. Moreover, the actress mentioned how living for herself is just a beautiful feeling and sometimes, she’s doing that for her own good.
The star says life gets better with age and no matter what others may preach, you cannot afford to listen to them. “It’s easy to understand that times are changing and people are becoming more aware of the fact that they can live for themselves. And there’s is not wrong with it!”
The Hollywood siren is looking and feeling good as new and if that means celebrating your success at 85, then so be it.
While she agreed that there are not currently a lot of things that bring her happiness and contentment, one thing is for sure. She adores being by the side of her female friends. They continue to add warmth to her and bring her joy. And for her, there’s no better feeling than just that.
“I am in my element and it’s the best feeling in the world”- she continued.
The actress also mentioned how she’s feeling great after entering into a period of remission from her cancer. And after going through so much in her life, she’s become more aware and able to face her fears. “It’s such a good feeling”- she adds.
