Jerry Springer’s former bodyguard is making some striking revelations about the leading celeb, and how he came to pay him a visit before his death.
Springer passed away after a short but tough battle with cancer a few days back. His heath is believed to have taken a turn for the worst and his loved ones appeared to be by his side during his final moments.
Sources from local media outlets were quick to mention how the entire event was a peaceful passing but it was hard for those that knew him best to accept this moment of grief.
Steve Wilkos who worked for the security team of the leading celeb and talk show host said he paid him a visit just a month before his death. And now he feels that perhaps it was all planned and it may have been his way of saying goodbye.
The star’s talk show needed security coverage and so did his everyday life because the issues and matters that he was dealing with in his talk show were certainly very heated and debatable.
It was not uncommon for fights to break out live on air. And for that, the show’s own security had to step in to handle matters. But whatever the case may be, Americans really did enjoy watching it.
Wilkos says he was not only the host’s security member but more like his friend. Springer really relied upon him for all the protection that he could get and it was just shocking to see how some episodes ended up in a huge battle and fury with rage.
During the final meeting, the bodyguard explained how it was a weird feeling seeing the host. He was a little emotional and hugged him really tight. This was a rare thing for him.
“He hugged me like he never hugged me before. It was strange but good. And then we spoke about old times together”- he explained. “I think he knew and it was his way of saying a final goodbye”- he continued.
