The Duchess of Sussex sent the letter after their bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey.

During that interview, she and her husband Prince Harry revealed that a senior royal questioned the skin color of their child.

Their allegations sent shockwaves through the monarchy as they expressed their disgust at ‘concerns and conversations about how dark his skin might be when he’s born.’

This also forced Prince William to defend the royal family by saying: “We are very much not a racist family.”

After the tell-all interview, the Duchess of Sussex expressed her grave concerns about ‘unconscious bias’ in the Firm.

An insider claimed that Meghan felt she had not ‘received a satisfactory response to her concerns, and that is believed to be one factor in her decision not to attend the Coronation.’

The source also said that the Duchess’ letter was sent in reply to one from the then Prince of Wales, adding that Charles was the only senior royal to contact the Sussexes after the Oprah interview.

Meghan’s letters “make clear the identity of the senior member of the family who made the comment.”

Meghan will stay at home with children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet in California while her husband will fly to the UK to be a part of his father’s Coronation.
