A 6-year-old boy was fatally shot while playing video games in his bed.
The tragic and heartbreaking news went viral this morning when the parents identified the victim as Kingston Campbell.
The beautiful young boy can be seen pictured in an adorable and loving family photo that his parents put up as they grieved the incident. They claim that he did nothing to deserve this kind of behavior.
Now, authorities are on the lookout as they search for more shooters that are believed to be involved in his senseless killing. “He was just playing some games before bed. There can be nothing more heartbreaking”- the parents continued.
The incident reportedly took place in the state of Virginia where surveillance footage that was captured showed several suspects fighting and aiming bullets toward the child’s home.
He was violently struck in the head, a little after the hours of 11 pm. And by the time the police and paramedics arrived, he was declared dead, leaving the family shattered forever.
The parents have raised their concerns in the past too about the growing number of gun-related incidents in the country but who knew that their own child would be a victim of this behavior?
Loved ones were seen identifying the victim as a young and beautiful kindergartner who enjoyed video games so much and since it was the weekend, he was allowed to play and then sleep. “It’s a loss that can never be replaced. We want justice”- the parents revealed.
“He was a great and loving sweet boy, He loved his parents so much. His warmth and affection could always be felt and he had his mom wrapped around his little finger. I would do anything for my boy and now he’s gone”- the devastated mother explained.
Investigations are now taking place to determine what exactly led to this behavior and why a child was killed in a senseless act of violence.
